人生休憩時間
こんにちは
先週の日曜日、私達家族は海へ遊びに行きました。
娘は初めての海で、小さな足に冷たい海水が触れたり、濡れた砂をかわいい手で握ったのも初めてでした。

A week ago on Sunday, me and my family went to visit the beach.
It was the first time my little daughter saw the ocean, felt the salty cool water against her little feet, held wet grainy sand with her cute hands…
My son got a chance to jump up and down in salt water pools, and face his fears by standing in the waters with me, a few meters deeper than he did before. (The boy is growing fast
)
息子は久しぶりの海でしたが、以前よりも深い波打ち際で飛び跳ね、僕と一緒に海を楽しみました。
娘はとても楽しかったようで歓声が止まらなかったです。
僕たちは手を繋いで浜辺を歩き、よい休日を過ごしました。
一週間後、僕は全く違う環境に置かれることになりました。
My daughter was so excited she couldn’t stop screaming with joy,
just like any other one-year-old baby, standing for the first time against this vast ocean.
We were walking on the beach holding hands… a perfect day.
木曜日にヘルニアの手術を受け、今日まで入院生活を送っていました。
先週末に楽しんだ景色とは違い、一週間後は病院のベッドの中で手術を待ち、術後はゆっくりと回復しながら今に至ります。
A week later, the view I faced was a very different one.
Unfortunately, I had to go through a corrective hernia surgery on Thursday, and I was hospitalized till today.
ある日曜日、私の視界は子供たちと海でした…
1週間後、 私の視界には、手術の準備が始まるのを待っている病院のベッドを囲むカーテンと、その後数日間ゆっくりと回復しながら上り下りする病院の長い廊下が見えました。
One Sunday, my view was of my kids and the ocean… A week later, my view was of the curtain surrounding my hospital bed waiting for my surgury prep' to begin, and the long hospital corridor during the following days of slow recovery walks I took up and down. 
島田市立病院でお世話になった医師、看護師の方々には本当に感謝しています。
今日無事に家に帰ることができました。
先週の木曜日から学校は休みですが、明日からまた授業をします。
再び仕事に就くのが待ちきれません。
仕事に戻って生活を続けることができて幸運だと感じています。
I’m so grateful to the doctors and nurses who took care of me at the Shimada City hospital.
I was able to return back home today.
The school has been closed since last Thursday, but I will be teaching again from tomorrow.
Can’t wait to be working again, and am feeling lucky to be able to return to work and continue living.
(Extremely excited to be seeing my kids again in an hour or so as they return from their nursery. Didn’t see them since Thursday morning!
)
Life is funny, in a way… Every day can take a turn somewhere we didn't expect.
Appreciate each moment, enjoy this beautiful life and be kind.

その後、ヘルニアの手術を受けて入院されていたんですか！
