Hi everyone,

Yesterday was a national holiday in Japan, a day to mark the spring equinox.

To me it meant one thing- that Spring has finally arrived...
...the days will get longer than the nights and warmth will replace cold.

Many of you may be fans of Winter, with its cloudy mornings, windy afternoons and icy nights, but I have never shared the sentiment.
I love Spring(in spite of the high possibility I will be having a week or two of incredibly itchy eyes and a runny nose due to hay fever), and am a big fan of Summer too.

So, as the days are getting warmer, going for a walk outside as a pastime activity is something I can again enjoy doing.
It takes away some of the stress and usual worries about this or that, allows some pure fresh air in, and the sights of new growth everywhere as Winter makes way for Spring are making me happy.

I went for a short walk with my daughter yesterday, and saw this carpet of yellow flowers covering the river bed just in-front of our house and school. My little girl enjoyed the views just as I did, and though she cannot speak just yet, she did make happy cute baby sounds that made me smile.

Today I took a short break with my son on our way to his nursery, to take a look at cherry trees in early blossom. It was a nice morning break, just before the busy day began.

I’ll share two pictures from yesterday as well as two from today, so maybe some of you will enjoy those same sights too.
